Storage
- Store in the bag provided until ready to use - away from direct sunlight, ideally in the envelope your topper arrives in
Application
- Cut topper to desired shape with sharp clean scissors
- Remove backing sheet (if it does not peel off easily, put the topper back in the plastic bag and place it in freezer for approx. 30 seconds, repeating as necessary). Never remove the backing sheet with force.
- If required (i.e. if using fondant/marzipan etc), dampen the cake covering with tiny amount of water and apply the topper.
- Smooth out any bubbles or wrinkles with dry fingers. Minor tears can be gently rubbed with dry finger to allow topper to merge back together.
Tips
- edible cake toppers can be applied to almost any kind of cake covering such as buttercream, fondant, marzipan, royal icing, ganache or chocolate
- moisture can cause the topper to wilt or curl, therefore the less water your covering contains, the better
- we recommend testing your desired application thoroughly before you make a larger production
- it is not recommended to wet the topper directly as it may cause colours on the image to run
- decorated products can be cooled in the refrigerator but should never be stored in airtight cake tins as excess humidity may affect it.
- for best results apply to a cake no more than 48 hours prior to cake being delivered to a customer etc.
Storage
- in the airtight bag provided until ready to use
- away from direct sunlight to prevent colour fading
- keep it flat, do not place anything on top of it
Application
- cut with clean scissors
- apply to your cake/cupcakes as desired
- avoid using on wet cake coverings as the wafer card will absorb water and will go soft/floppy
- apply as close to consumption as possible

Will i be able to update the site myself when it is finished?
Yes! I love it when my clients take control of their website and learn to manage it on their own. Squarespace has a very intuitive drag-and-drop interface. The portal is known as a WYSIWYG editor, for “what you see is what you get” and there are many videos and guides online showing how to update the website . However, should you not feel confident in making changes yourself I am happy to do it for you.

Your input and feedback is really important. I will start the design process with a lot of questions about your needs, likes and wants and work with you to develop just the right look and functionality.

WHO PROVIDES IMAGES FOR MY WEBSITE?
If possible, I recommend using your own images for your website. However I understand that sometimes this is not possible or you may not have these images at the time you are having your website built. Rather than compromise on the quality of your new website with low quality images, which don't do your business justice, I can find images for you on platforms such as Shutterstock (typically, there are fees associated).
How long will it take to appear at the top of Google?
The time it takes for your website to appear on page 1 of Google depends on several factors. It depends on the search phrase people are using to find your website and the number of other websites that are also available for those search phrases. Nobody can truly say how long it will take for your website to appear at the top of search engine results pages (including people who work for Google), however there are several factors that can improve your chances. Building your website on Squarespace is a good start as Squarespace has some great Search Engine Optimization fundamentals built-in.
